Another tight garden, this one is crammed with plants for many months of interest. These five photos start with a before and then show some of the garden highlights: late March (purple Louisiana hybrid iris with the white flowers of 'Flying Dragon' hardy orange in the back), early April ('Palibin' lilac), late July (Vernonia 'Southern Cross', and mid January (dried 'Morning Light' miscanthus with dusty miller. In between the lilac's flowering and that of the vernonia, 'Pee Wee' oakleaf hydrangeas flower, but I never got a photo of them. The little cypresses are the cultivar 'Gimborn Beauty'. A blue dianella has been hardy in this heat sink of a garden.
Before and two afters. On the trellis is one of the best, and most underused vines in Georgia—Kadsura japonica 'Fukurin'.
