Viburnum
This project followed the loss of a century-old, 100-foot-tall tulip poplar. Although small, this garden is packed with a lot of interesting plants, such as a 'Heronswood Globe' dwarf katsura tree (the focus when walking through the pergola), a fragrant viburnum, a 'Waterfall' maple under the pergola, some rare 'Gracilis' cryptomerias, and a specimen 'Tokyo Tower' fringetree on the slope next to the porch staircase.
